Although it may not have words, the style of the illustration appeals to the older elementary students, as well as their ability to perceive emotions in a story through expressions. A cute addition for a family's bookshelves. The drawings are detailed and funny and they keep my children coming back for more. The other reason, of course, is that this book is simply delightful. Without words, it allows my youngsters to practice their pre-reading skills of analyzing and interpreting what pictures mean. This is one of the reasons I like this book.
